The Boat

Freedom

The Freedom is an 85-foot by 24-foot Ditmar Donaldson running overnight fishing trips out of 22nd Street Landing in San Pedro, captained by Tino Valentine and Christian Isaac. Recently repowered in 2019, she now runs brand-new John Deere electronic engines and two 40kw generators for auxiliary power, and is equipped with state-of-the-art electronics, Furuno side-scanning sonar and satellite communication. Two separate 4-ton fish holds with RSW keep your catch sushi-grade to the end of the trip. A spacious, comfortable boat with 52 bunks, most trips are limited to 35 passengers or less, with 4 bathrooms, 2 showers and a fresh-water making system. The Freedom departs nightly at 10pm, fishing Catalina, San Clemente, Santa Barbara and San Nicolas Islands as well as Tanner and Cortez Bank.
